Equine Facilitated Workshop - Medicine Horse Warrior Horse

Medicine Horse Warrior Horse is an equine facilitated program to help recovery from the effects of Post Traumatic Stress.

The Medicine Spirit of the horse brings us peace and self-understanding. The Warrior Spirit of the horse shows us our wisdom and strength.

How does it work?

Through guided activities with horses you learn how anger, fear, and grief have become part of your body-memory, and techniques for helping you move towards wellbeing. During activities with the horses you encounter very real experiences in personal understanding, strength, peacefulness and serenity that can become part of your daily life.

During this four-hour workshop you participate in activities with horses that include:

  • Techniques for becoming grounded and for creating a space of sanctuary, safety, and respect
  • Understanding the common ground humans and horses share and tools for incorporating this common ground into your daily life
  • Activities with the horses to help you relax, connect with yourself, and with your expectations of yourself and others

Why take this workshop?

Humankind has long had a mystical and spiritual connection with the horse. We admire the horse’s strength, speed, playfulness and its love of freedom. The horse represents all that we would like to be, strong, healthy, and free. During the workshop you learn to share the horse’s gentle healing energy and its strong protective, warrior spirit.

You leave the workshop with tools to help you retain the experiences and build on them so that the benefits of the workshop remain with you

Within us all is a kernel of health and wellbeing. Medicine Horse Warrior Horse helps you recognize and nurture that health and wellbeing so that it begins to touch all aspects of your life.
