Get Involved - Volunteer A volunteer grooming one of our residents. We appreciate you and make every effort to not overwork you. Please make a time commitment that is comfortable and realistic for you: an hour a week, three hours twice a month, one day a month; one project every six months; whatever you are comfortable with, we are happy with! There are many ways in which you can volunteer. Please read the volunteer team descriptions and pick your favorites. Yes! You can join more than one team! We would also like to add a few more Volunteer Coordinators to share the very important job of recruiting and organizing our volunteers. To volunteer sign up below or email susan@heavencanwait.us. Equine Care - Help take care of our horses and donkeys! We need volunteers to groom, organize equipment, buckets, brushes, and halters organized, and supplements, help with feeding, and handle the equines for tours, programs, and activities. To volunteer sign up below or email susan@heavencanwait.us. Grounds and Facilities - Do you like to shovel, hammer, paint, fix things, build things, weed whack, and more? We are in constant need of people to help with our maintenance jobs. Tell us what you like to do, we'll show you where it is! Events and Hospitality - Help with planning, organizing, and staging Heaven Can Wait events. Provide host/hostess support at events. Provide docent services for visiting groups. Assist with programs. Administrative Support - Help the HCW office with your office skills, Internet research skills, and a variety of other administrative support needs. We need a few volunteers with Microsoft Office experience, including advanced Excel skills, and who know about scanning photos at different resolutions. Some work can be done from your home.
